New Website...

Hi All...
This is just a quick post to let you know that I've created a website for Bill and I. I had to do something with this time I've got to wait to get our baby girl...so this is it. LOL!

Once there were two women
Who never knew each other.
One you do not remember,
The other you call mother.
Two different lives shaped to make you one.
One became your guiding star,
The other became your sun.
The first one gave you life
And the second taught you to live it.
The first gave you a need for love,
The second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality,
The other gave you a name.
One gave you a talent,
The other gave you aim.
One gave you emotions,
The other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile,

One sought for you a home
That she could not provide,
The other prayed for a child

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator,
and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that little things could be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I heard you say a prayer,
and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you give your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don’t.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I felt you kiss me good night and I felt loved and safe.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw how you handled your responsibilities,
even when you didn’t feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it’s all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I learned most of life’s lessons that I need to know to be a good productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn’t looking,
I looked at you and wanted to say ?

Before I was a Mom--
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom--
I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom--
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom--
I never held a sleeping baby just be cause I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom--
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom--
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a MOM.
