The Paper Chase...

OK...so here is the brief update on our paperwork and what's going on with the adoption. We have our home study complete and the 2 copies for the agency have been sent to them for translation into Chinese. As you saw in the last post Bill & I are working on the photo album to send to the agency along with the application for the orphanage. I have also sent a copy of our home study to the USCIS office in Detroit...and waiting to hear back from them. The next step with the USCIS should be a "fingerprinting" date to make sure we are cleared here to adopt.

So, once we get the photo album together and the application (which should be in another couple weeks) we'll send that (along with our first "adoption" fee) to our agency for it to all be put together and sent out to Taiwan and the orphanage for approval.

So, that's all we can do for now. From what we've been told, after all of this part it's just a "paper pregnancy" from there. LOL! That being said, we'll keep you all posted on things as they develop.

It's so nice to have so many people come forward to offer up such kind words in support of such an important and wonderful thing for Bill and I to do. Thank you everyone.
