Home Study Excitement...

OK...so our social worker (Kimberly) left about 2 hours ago. And, what started off as a 2 day study she's told us she won't need to do a second day because we were so prepared! She got here about 1:30 and stayed until around 4:00 and I've got to say...it was such a real pleasure meeting with her and talking with her. I know that sounds weird to some (since for some reason people on some of the groups are leary of having their home study done)...but it truly was a pleasurable experience. She was so nice and was very thorough with us on all of the paperwork and the whole process of how things would go (including about how long it would take to process the home study).

After she left we basically went to dinner to celebrate. Even if this process takes a long time...which it could as with any adoption...I'm not the least bit concerned about anything. We've been waiting so long to do something like this that it just seems right. Like finally...something in our lives is clicking. My mom has always said that I'd find my niche in life...well I think that I did with working with Marie (the 14 year old with C.P.) and now with this. We're so happy at the concept of being parents that it's almost beyond words. Bill is happy, I'm happy...he's actually throwing out stuff he doesn't need...and CLEANING!!! Which is as some of you know a hard feat for him...lol!

I can only see this getting better...as well as our relationship. We're already looking into a bigger home because we want to adopt again after we get Myah!! So, this is your (what's turning into) daily update on us and what's going on here on the home front! We'll keep you posted!

Best Wishes...
Gina & Bill

Hey Gina and Bill! Misty here. I know the exact home study excitement you are talking about. We got ours done about 2 weeks ago and it was such a heavy burden off of our shoulders. Now on to the next step. I look forward to reading more about your adventure. I'll send you a link to our blog if I ever get around to setting one up. : )

God bless,
Misty
