An Update...

OK...for those of you following our story and the recent events that have unfolded, I can give you somewhat of an update now. Lets see...my dad had emergency major abdominal surgery and made it through the surgery beautifully. They removed 14 inches of his colon (which was determined to have a huge cancerous mass in it...how it didn't block off his colon is amazing )...he's been able to be up and walking to the mail box as well as some driving. The only glitch...hiccups...he's developed a somewhat chronic case of hiccups and hasn't been able to get much sleep in the last two days or so. He went to the doctor today and was told basically that he'd have to ride it out...poor guy. Lets see...he is home now obviously and as I said, doing well. His biggest concern???.... when can he play golf.....**sigh** God Bless Him...lol!

Next, Bill and I are still doing the adoption. We are just waiting for the referral now as our stuff is already sent over to Taiwan. I have to admit, I am a bit nervous about this whole thing...being a mom is something that I've always wanted and I want to do it right. I hope I'm doing the right thing.....

So, all of that being said...we're doing fine, dad's doing fine and life is relatively good right now...can't complain too much anyway.
